Lash Therapy FAQs
WHAT ARE EYELASH EXTENSIONS?
Individual eyelash extensions are synthetic fiber or 100% mink hair that replicate your natural eyelash. They will provide extra length and thickness to your own lashes. There are various sizes, gages, and curl. Semi-permanent eyelash extensions are applied to each of your natural lashes with an adhesive that is made especially for eyelash extensions. We us formaldehyde free glue and have a sensitive glue if the regular glue bothers you. (very few people have issues with the regular glue)
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET A FILL?
Your natural lashes are always growing and shedding. On average we loose 3-5 lashes per day. Lashes are always regenerating and growing back. Each person is different when it comes to fills. Some people have lashes that grow faster and may require fills more often. A good rule of thumb is to get a fill every 2-3 weeks. This will maintain the flawless look.
CAN I WEAR MASCARA?
You will not need to nor want to use mascara anymore. Using mascara will cause the glue to break down faster and make the lashes come off quicker. You can purchase a mascara that is specially formulated for eyelash extension. You can wear other eye make-up, just make sure to always use an oil free make-up remover.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR EYELASHES.
It takes up to 24 hours for the eyelash extensions adhesive to fully cure.
1. Avoid water and steam for the first 24 hours
2. Do not rub or play with the extensions. Pulling your eyelash extensions can cause you to pull out your natural lash which will cause damage.
3. Wash your lashes on a regular basis, you can use baby wash or any mild soap for this. Gently massage your lash line and splash water until the soap is washed away. Do not rub your lashes dry, pat dry and use your brush to comb them out.
